The invention relates to the propulsion engineering, namely to the internal combustion engine exhaust systems.The device for desooting the exhaust gases and reducing the noise of the internal combustion engine includes an intake-noise damper (1) with input (2) and output (5) branch pipes for the exhaust gases, in which are placed vertical partitions (3, 4) fixed in the upper and lower parts of the intake-noise damper (1), filled with liquid. The exhaust gas outlet branch pipe (5) of the intake-noise damper (1) is connected via a pipe (6) to the input branch pipe of the filter (7). In the filter (7) on two opposite supports (8, 11) is placed a roll (9) of metal grid with fine meshes, moistened with liquid for retention by trapping of soot particles.
