Described is the background and development of a fire-resistant chemical compound; i.e; a non-flammable compound which is applied to different materials for turning them into resistant to fire, thus preventing fire for spreading in case of fire. The compound is characterised in that it is: Efficient, environmentally friendly, easily formulated and applied, and cost effective. Each kilogram of the compound comprises: Ammonium sulphate 740 gr; borax 20 gr; boric acid 140 gr and ammonium monophosphate 100 gr. The invention refers to a previously presented compound but modified and improved.
