The system has a reactor for storing a reactive material (2) e.g. calcium chloride, which absorbs gas e.g. ammonia, taken into the reactor by a diffuser (17), where the reactive material desorbs the absorbed gas when heat is applied to the reactive material. The diffuser includes a gas supply line (15a), a gas dispenser for dispensing the gas into the reactive material, a filter sleeve (17c), and a spiral heating wire, where components of the diffuser form a sub-assembly that is attached onto a housing (9) of the reactor by a sealing element (16). The housing is made of composite material.
