<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device which can properly permit and prohibit automatic stopping of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine control device for automatically stopping/starting the engine includes: an engine starting control means for starting the engine by switching driving control to a second state after driving a starter of the engine in a first state; a voltage monitoring means for detecting battery voltage in a first rush period and a first rushed period after the first rush period in a first period of driving the starter in the first state and, a second rush period and a second rushed period after the second rush period in a second period of driving the starter in the second state; and an automatic stopping prohibiting means for prohibiting the automatic stopping of the engine based on a result of comparing rush time voltage based on voltage in the first and second rush periods detected by the voltage monitoring means, and rushed voltage based on voltage in the first and second rushed periods, with respectively different threshold values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
