<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that can reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 1 in one embodiment includes a NAND type flash memory 22 that can hold data, an error correction section 38 for detecting and correcting data errors, and tables 35 and 36 having information on an error correction method to be used per data.
