<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument in which a cap can be simply attached to a writing instrument body so that the cap may not separate from the body, and the cap can be easily detached from the body by knock operation when detaching the cap. <P>SOLUTION: The writing instrument body 1 with an outer surface formed with recesses 5 is contained in a body cover (the cap) 4. Arms 13 each having a protrusion 14 which fits in the recess 5 is prepared in the body cover 4. These arms 13 are moved between an advance position and a retreat position by knocking operation using a heart-shaped cam mechanism, to be held at the respective positions. The arms expand at the retreat position and close at the advance position where the protrusions 14 fit in the recesses 5 to chuck the writing instrument body 1. Upon knocking the body 1, the arms 13 move to the retreat position and the protrusions 14 depart from the recesses 5 thereby separating the body cover 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
