<p>The problem addressed by the present invention is to perform recording that has sufficient shininess. As a solution, this inkjet recording device (1) is provided with: a carriage (4) that can move in a primary scanning direction (S); an inkjet head (5) that discharges ink droplets and that is mounted to the carriage (4); and an ultraviolet ray radiation device (6) that radiates ultraviolet rays and that is mounted to the carriage. In the ultraviolet ray radiation device (6), a plurality of UVLEDs (63) are arrayed in a sub-scanning direction (F) in a concavity (62) formed at the bottom surface thereof, and flat plate-shaped partition plates (64) that extend in the primary scanning direction are provided between adjacent UVLEDs (63). Also, when recording with clear ink, the UVLEDs (63e-63h) that radiate ultraviolet rays to a band at which the second discharge region (A2) of the inkjet head (5) that discharges clear ink is positioned are turned off. As a result, it is possible to perform shiny recording as the clear ink discharged from the second discharge region (A2) is not cured immediately after impacting the media (M), and thus is smoothed.</p> |
