<p>A breathing air production and filtration system has an air generation assembly and a distribution assembly. The generation assembly has a compressor and filtration components to generate breathing air. The distribution assembly has collection pots with multiple connections for manifolds. For their part, the manifolds have multiple connectors for the respirators of end users. The system uses a monitoring control system with various wireless sensors to monitor operation of the system and the quality of breathing air produced. These sensors include an in-line sensor detecting constituents or contaminants in the breathing air. The sensors also include pressure, temperature, and flow sensors monitoring the operation of the system. An automatic switchover is provided for switching the system to a back-up supply of high-pressure reserve air if needed.</p> |
