COIL COMPONENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact coil component of low profile at a low cost while ensuring a desired filter performance.

SOLUTION: A coil component 100 comprises: a magnetic substrate 11 composed of a magnetic ceramic material; a thin film coil layer 12 including a coil conductor formed on one main surface of the magnetic substrate 11; thick bump electrodes 13a-13d formed on the main surface of the thin film coil layer 12 by plating; and a magnetic resin layer 14 formed on the main surface of the thin film coil layer 12 excluding the positions where the bump electrodes 13a-13d are formed. The bump electrodes 13a-13d are thick electrodes formed by plating, and are preferably thicker than a conductor pattern in the thin film coil layer 12.
