The printing machine comprises a waste heat recovery system (1), a heat exchanger, and a heat pump (2) which heats the air and provides the heated air to a drying device (6). The air temperature and/or the supplied air volume flow of the heat exchanger and/or the heat pump are controlled depending on the selected dryer temperature of the dryer device. The dryer device incorporates several voltage aggregates, whose voltage temperatures are individually pre-selectable in each case. An independent claim is included for method of optimizing utilization of waste heat at printing machine.
