The method (10) involves providing a base component sectionally with plastic (26), where the base component is made of fibers of a material and fibers of another material different from the former material. A fleece i.e. hybrid fleece (14), is provided as the base component, where the fleece is laterally heated before adding with plastic. The fleece is partially consolidated by heating, and back-injected with plastic by injection molding by an injection molding tool (22). A reinforcing rib structure stiffening the fleece is formed by the addition of fleece.
