<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which can be miniaturized further. <P>SOLUTION: A lens barrel includes a zoom optical system. The lens barrel includes a first lens group and a second lens group. The first lens group has a shape including a first curved part and a first linear line part in the outline shape viewed from the optical axis direction. The second lens group has a shape including a second curved part and a second linear line part in the outline shape viewed from the optical axis direction. The lens barrel takes a photographable state and a collapsed state. In the photographable state, the first lens group and the second lens group are arranged in the direction of the optical axis of the first lens group. In the collapsed state, the second lens group retreats so that the first linear line part of the first lens group and the second linear line part of the second lens group become nearly parallel when viewed from the direction of the optical axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
