<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an indirect hot line tool to be hung on a utility pole or the like such that the indirect hot line tool can be readily picked up for work. <P>SOLUTION: A hanging member 2 is removably attached to a handle portion 6 of an insulating operating rod 3. An indirect hot line tool 1 can be hung on a utility pole, from a crossarm or the like via the hanging member 2. For work on the utility pole, unlike existing indirect hot line tools in a working bag, in which a desired one may be caught in others, the indirect hot line tool 1 can be readily picked up to provide improved work efficiency, and the indirect hot line tool can be prevented from falling inadvertently.
