<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval system that takes into consideration tastes of other users in the same segment or group with a user who targets data of an unspecified field and desires that an element value is within a predetermined range adaptively to the user. <P>SOLUTION: The user who displays data is made to input the element value based upon a determination of the user, and element values of data are prepared based upon element values that many users input so as to hold data having objectivity with respect to various element values. Points are calculated based upon the data so that data matching a taste of the user has high point, and a display based upon the points is made.
