<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene ether having high purity with little changes in a tone in a heating process. <P>SOLUTION: The polyphenylene ether shows a value of ΔC.I. of 0 or more and 7 or less obtained by the formula of ΔC.I.=(C.I.heat-C.I.ppe)/C.I.ppe. In the formula, C.I.ppe represents a color index value of the polyphenylene ether before heating under the following conditions, and C.I.heat represents a color index value of the polyphenylene ether after heating under the following conditions. The heating conditions on the polyphenylene ether are: heating temperature of 310°C; heating time of 20 minutes; and heating pressure of 10 MPa. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
