<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transimpedance amplifier having ESD resistance in which input light dependency of group delay characteristics is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In a transimpedance amplifier TIA performing impedance conversion of an input current from an input terminal, a first power supply terminal VCCTIA and a second power supply terminal VEETIA are provided, a voltage higher than that of the second power supply terminal VEETIA is applied to the first power supply terminal VCCTIA, and a first circuit element forming a current path in parallel with the transimpedance amplifier TIA is connected between the first power supply terminal VCCTIA and the second power supply terminal VEETIA.
