A method and related system (1) for filtering water, wherein the method comprises the steps of receiving a flow of water having an initial concentration of salts, filtering it in order to create a flow of filtered water having a first concentration of salts lower than the initial concentration and a flow of discharge water having a second concentration of salts higher than the initial concentration, mixing the flow of filtered water with a determined fraction of the flow of discharge water for generating a delivery flow having a predetermined concentration of salts, and wherein the system comprises a filtering device (2) which filters the flow of water and emits the flow of filtered water and the flow of discharge water, a flow control device (10) which separates the determined fraction of the flow of discharge water from the remaining fraction and emits such determined fraction, and a mixing device (20) which mixes the filtered water and the determined fraction of the flow of discharge water and emits the delivery flow from an outlet (23) intended to be connected to a use device (100).
