<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding gas capable of suppressing the occurrence of meandering of a welding bead and the occurrence of an undercut and forming penetration of the welding bead into a superior shape when carrying out non-keyhole welding of a ferritic stainless steel having a thickness of 3 mm or less, and to provide a plasma welding method. <P>SOLUTION: The welding gas 22 (gas containing a pilot gas 23 and a shield gas 24) is used upon carrying out the non-keyhole welding of the ferritic stainless steel having a thickness of 3 mm or less using a plasma welding torch 10. The pilot gas 23 fed into a gap between a tungsten electrode 11 and an insert chip 12 is an inert gas at a flow rate of 2.1 m/sec. The shield gas 24 is a mixed gas comprising 0.5-4 vol% oxygen gas added to an inert gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
