<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device and its control method capable of reliably closing an aperture at the time of an interruption of an external power source. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting an interruption of an external power source to a power supply unit 22, a projection type display device stops the driving of driven units K2 other than an exhaust port shutter 32 and switches to a state of reducing power consumption of the device body, and allows an exhaust port shutter driving unit 49 to perform closing driving of the exhaust port shutter 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
