<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device of a rolling bearing device for a wheel improved in sealability between an outer ring and a seal member. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device 30 includes: an annular core metal part 32 to be fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 18 by fitting; and a rubber seal member 34 fitted to a flange part 14 side of the annular core metal part 32 and having a seal lip 36 to be brought into slide-contact with the outer peripheral surface of a hub shaft 12. On the outer peripheral surface of a seal extension part 38 of the seal member 34 extended to the outer peripheral side of the annular core metal part 32, a projecting lip 40 is formed with an axial cross section formed in the shape of a quarter circle and a side surface on the flange part 14 side formed straight in the radial direction and the opposite side surface formed in an arc-shape. On the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 18, an annular groove part 20 having a rectangular cross section is formed so that the projecting lip 40 is housed in the annular groove part 20 when the sealing device 30 is fitted to the outer ring 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
