<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses the occurrence of transfer unevenness and poor cleaning to provide good image for a long period of image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is configured to include a secondary transfer roller 92 that comes to pressure contact with an intermediate transfer belt 1 at a secondary transfer nip 20 via a secondary transfer belt 91.
