Disclosed is a neckguard for violins, relating to the field of musical instruments and comprising, linked one to the other, a chinrest pad, a neck-pad and a shoulder pad serving to adjust pressure between a violin and the shoulder. The shape of the chinrest pad corresponds to the shape of the chinrest of the instrument and one end of the chinrest pad is connected to one end of the neck-pad; the other end of the chinrest pad is provided with a sleevable accommodation groove fixable to the chinrest of the instrument. The neck-pad is in the form of an arc corresponding to the arc of the side panel of the lower end of the violin; the angle between the chinrest pad and the neck-pad is fixed, and is identical to the angle between the front panel and the side panel of the lower end of the violin. The present invention is fitted at the lower end of a violin and wholly envelops the chinrest, the metallic chinrest bolts and the endpin, achieving the effect of isolating these parts of the instrument from contact with, and preventing rubbing by, the chin, the neck and the clavicle of a player, while also permitting height adjustment from the shoulder and providing a certain softness. The present invention is simple in structure, small in volume, light, easily-fitted and easily portable. |
