<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium gas battery capable of increasing discharge start voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A lithium gas battery 10 includes: a negative electrode active material that can occlude and release lithium ions; a positive electrode 2 that uses gas on which oxidation-reduction can be performed, as a cathode active material; and a nonaqueous ion conductor 3 disposed between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The positive electrode includes an oxidation-reduction catalyst that is prepared by calcining a metal phthalocyanine complex supported on a carrier.
