<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of detecting the reference steering angle with a simple constitution without using any yaw rate sensor in a reference steering angle detection device for detecting the reference steering angle forming the reference of the steering angle in a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A computation device for detecting the reference steering angle repeatedly acquires the steering angle of one's own vehicle (S360), monitors whether or not the acquired steering angle is changed (S320), and detects the traveling distance of one's own vehicle when the steering angle is not changed (S310-S360). A CPU 11 determines whether or not the traveling distance of one's own vehicle is equal to or more than the reference distance set to the value equal to or more than the assumed maximum value of the length of a part of the predetermined radius of curvature in a curve (S350), and if the traveling distance is equal to or more than the reference value, the steering angle of one's own vehicle at this moment is set as the reference steering angle. Since the computation device determines whether or not one's own vehicle travels straight with a simple constitution, the reference steering angle can also be detected with a simple constitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
