<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for hazardous waste disposal, capable of safely and surely disposing hazardous waste without scattering to the circumference, and performing mass disposal thereof with simple devices. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a container sealing device 40 for sealing hazardous waste in a container to form container-sealed waste P0; a compression device 20 including a cylindrical section for compression-molding the other waste free from toxic substance to form a block P1; a vertical gasification melting furnace 50 including a thermal decomposition section 52 and a melting section 54; and a heating furnance 30 for heating the block P1. The thermal decomposition section 52 thermally decomposes and gasifies the container-sealed waste P0 and the block P1, and the melting section 54 melts and discharges incombustible after thermal decomposition and gasification of the block. The compression device 20 further includes a hopper 11 for supplying the container-sealed waste P0 and the other waste P1, which is provided to be communicable with the cylindrical section 21, and a compression support board 23 which is openable and closable in a position anterior to the hopper 11 and a compression means 22 which moves from a position posterior to the hopper 11 and compresses the other waste with the compression support board 23 to form the block are provided inside the cylindrical section 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
