<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an insulator for a spark plug for supporting a compact of an insulator for the spark plug to restrain bending during firing, a firing container, and a method for manufacturing the spark plug. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an insulator for a spark plug according to the present invention, an insulator for a spark plug comprises a main body 10, which has a cylindrical shape and on which a collar part 3 whose diameter is enlarged at an intermediate part of an axial direction; and a through hole 2 formed along the axial direction of the main body 10. The method includes a housing step for housing a compact 1 molded to be an insulator for the spark plug after firing to the firing container 4 having fall-prevention means 5 of the compact 1 by the fall-prevention means 5, and a firing step for putting the firing container 4 and the compact 1 in a heating furnace and firing them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
