<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction of noise when paper feeding and conveying operation is performed, a decrease in size, reduction of manufacture cost, and further high-speed paper feeding. <P>SOLUTION: The paper feeding device is provided with a switching mechanism 35 which is switched to a first position where air passing through an air duct 34 is exhausted from an exhaust port 34a to the outside or a second position where the air passing through the air duct 34 is returned to a negative pressure duct 32. When the switching mechanism 35 is switched to the first position, the inside of the negative pressure duct 32 becomes in a negative pressure state by a fan 33, and thereby paper is sucked to a suction surface 30a. When the switching mechanism 35 is switched to the second position, the air passing through the air duct 34 is returned to the negative pressure duct 32, and thereby sucking action of the suction surface 30a is released, and the paper sucked to the suction surface 30a is separated from the suction surface 30a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
