<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition that has excellent photoluminescence and can be used for forming an image having excellent scratch resistance, and to provide a printing method that has excellent photoluminescence and can impart a printed matter on which the image having the excellent scratch resistance is formed. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition is discharged by an inkjet method and contains: silver particles; water; and 0.05-3.0 mass% of silicone oil.
