CHARGING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CHARGING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus for properly controlling the charging power when charging a storage battery with electric power supplied from a plurality of power sources outside a vehicle.

SOLUTION: A plurality of charging ports 1 are each electrically connected to a plurality of power sources outside a vehicle by using charging cables 310 capable of electrically connecting them to outside power sources. A voltage varying part 5 varies the voltage of power supplied from the plurality of charging ports 1 and supplies the power to a storage battery 200. A detection part 7 detects a state of the storage battery. According to the state of the storage battery 200, a control part 8 controls the voltage of the power supplied from the voltage varying part 5 to a voltage prioritizing either a voltage corresponding to the state of the storage battery 200 or a voltage corresponding to a demand regarding charging time to be inputted.
