PURPOSE: A STB(Set Top Box) for receiving a broadcasting data and an interactive data at the same time and a data processing method thereof are provided to select a desired broadcasting with a remote control on a screen UI provided by the set top box without changing an external input source on a TV. CONSTITUTION: When a TV channel service is selected, a signal selecting unit of a STB selects a corresponding TV channel(S403,S404). When a VOD(Video On Demand) channel is selected, the STB requests a corresponding service to a VOD service server(S406,S407). The signal selecting unit outputs a received Internet signal to a TV(S408). When the other service is selected, the STB transceives data through Internet(S409). The STB provides the corresponding service.
