PURPOSE: A light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to reduce a moire phenomenon that light is generated by a light guide plate and an optical sheet. CONSTITUTION: An intaglio pattern is formed on a light guide plate(200). A backlight unit is placed on the light guide plate. The backlight unit comprises a diffusing sheet. The backlight unit comprises a plurality of optical sheets. The intaglio pattern is extended from a light incident surface to the other surface of the light incident surface.
