An apparatus and a method of controlling character motion in an online music game are provided to perform creative motion of its own character by using a corresponding motion data set in an online game. A music game processing unit(110) progresses an online game by receiving a key according to music reproduced by a game client. A game account management unit(130) manages account information of the game client. The game account management unit stores information about at least one character which belongs to an account and at least one motion data set. A character motion control unit(120) displays motion of a character according to the key input from the music and game client. The character motion control unit reads a motion data set selected from the motion data sets from a character motion database. The character motion control unit displays motion of a character selected among characters which belong to the account of the game client. |
