FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system and method of exhaust system carbon-black filter reactivation incorporated with vehicle 10 driven by ICE with automatic transmission 20. Note here that content of solid particles in carbon-black filter 54 of diesel engine exceeds preset threshold amount necessary for filter reactivation. Vehicle current operating conditions are estimated for possibility of reactivation of filter clogged by solid particles by selecting appropriate mode of automatic transmission 20. Proximate future operating conditions are analysed for possibility of ICE operation at sufficient load and sufficiently low rpm to maintain sufficient filter reactivation temperature and exhaust gas flow in exhaust system controlled by automatic transmission. Finally, appropriate mode of said transmission is selected to reactivate filter and make ICE operate in conditions for preset time interval that ensure sufficient reactivation temperature and exhaust gas flow. ^ EFFECT: temperature control inside filter, and additional cleaning of exhaust gases by controlling transmission and engine. ^ 16 cl, 3 dwg |
