METHOD FOR A HEALTH-ENHANCING UNDERWATER VACUUM MASSAGE AND VACUUM PUMP FOR IMPLEMENTING SAME

The invention relates to cosmetology, sports and rehabilitation medicine, and physiotherapy. A patient is placed in water and exposed to a vacuum pump with sucking of the skin of part of the body at a frequency of no higher than 6 Hz whilst the pump, immersed in the water, moves over the body, with a jet of water being supplied into said pump with swirling in the cavity of the pump and the creation and maintenance therein of a vacuum of less than 0.90 atm. Detachment of the pump as said pump moves over the body is prevented and the degree of evacuation in the cavity thereof is regulated by means of changing the water pressure. The hydrovacuum massage vacuum pump comprises a housing with a cavity forming an axially symmetrical vortex chamber and an inlet channel, which is connected tangentially to the vortex chamber. The inlet channel has a conoidal form. The channel intake opening is formed by a directrix of the conoid, and the channel discharge opening is formed by the intersection of the conoidal surface with the inner surface of the vortex chamber. The major axis of the cross section of the conoid is parallel to the generatrix of the inner surface of the chamber. In cross section, the wall of the inlet channel at the point where said wall adjoins the surface of the vortex chamber is arranged tangentially to this surface. The invention ensures a high degree of intensity of action by virtue of the provision of a stable high vacuum and regulation of the magnitude thereof.
