<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently enhance sterilization performance in a hot water storage tank (41) even if a temperature of hot water in the hot water storage tank reaches a temperature decomposing a hypochlorous acid, in a hot water supply system including the hot water storage tank storing hot water, a hot water delivery flow passage delivering hot water stored in the hot water storage tank (41) to use equipment and a water purification unit (60) purifying water in the hot water storage tank (41). <P>SOLUTION: The water purification unit (60) includes: a discharge part (62) having a pair of electrodes (64, 65) generating streamer discharge in water in the hot water storage tank (41); and a DC power source (70) applying DC voltages to the pair of electrodes (64, 65).
