<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean a nozzle rapidly and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printing apparatus includes: an inkjet head that jets an ink from the nozzle to a print medium; a headcap 143a detachably provided on the inkjet head and covering the nozzle, while being mounted thereon, thereby hermetically sealing the nozzle from external air; an ultrasonic wave-generating element 155 provided on the headcap 143a and generating ultrasonic waves; and a controller 70 that makes the ultrasonic wave-generating element 155 generate the ultrasonic waves after the headcap 143a is mounted to the inkjet head and the ink is retained in the headcap 143a to immerse the nozzle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
