The purpose of the present invention is to provide a resin composition for coating an electrical wire in which the resin composition has excellent extrudability, resistance to thermal degradation, abrasion resistance, flame retardancy and insulating properties, can achieve a reduction in the quantity of smoke generated and does not contain a halogen compound, and also to provide an insulated electrical wire using the same. The present invention is a resin composition for coating an electrical wire in which the resin composition contains specific proportions of a specific (A) thermoplastic polyester resin (component A), (B) polyester block copolymer (component B), (C) polycarbodiimide compound (component C), (D) magnesium hydroxide (component D), (E) inorganic porous filler (component E), (F) hindered phenol type antioxidant (component F) and (G) phosphorus type antioxidant (component G), and an insulated electrical wire using the same. |
