The cartridge (3) has two spiral-shaped channels (13) provided in an exterior wall, where temperature-controlled liquid heat transfer medium flows into the cartridge through one of the channels along a longitudinal axis of the cartridge for keeping the cartridge at moderate temperature. The medium flows into the cartridge through the other channel according to a counter current principle after keeping the cartridge at the moderate temperature. A heat source is arranged at a water heater (8) and designed as a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heating element.
