Disclosed is a ceramic for decorative parts, which has a composition containing a main component composed of titanium nitride represented by TiN<SUB>x</SUB> (0.8 = x = 0.96) and a sub-component composed of nickel, while further containing a first additional component composed of at least one substance selected from the group consisting of vanadium nitride, niobium nitride, tantalum nitride, molybdenum carbide, niobium carbide, tungsten carbide and tantalum carbide, and a second additional component composed of titanium oxide.
