<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which has enhanced usability and reliability by improving poor defrosting. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 includes: a compressor 21 driving a refrigerating cycle; an outdoor heat exchanger 23 laid outdoor; an indoor heat exchanger 13 laid indoor; an outdoor fan 25 supplying outdoor air to the outdoor heat exchanger 23; and an indoor fan 15 supplying indoor air to the indoor heat exchanger 13. The air conditioner 1 drives the indoor fan 15 and the outdoor fan 25 to flow a refrigerant in a single direction to the indoor heat exchanger 13 and the outdoor heat exchanger 2 to carry out a heating operation, and when frost deposits in the indoor heat exchanger 23, the air conditioner flows the refrigerant in a reversed direction to the direction during a heating operation, and stops the indoor fan 15 and the outdoor fan 25 to carry out a defrosting operation. When defrosting by the defrosting operation fails, the air conditioner carries out a defrosting preparation operation of flowing the refrigerant in the same direction as in the heating operation and driving the outdoor fan 25 while stopping the indoor fan 15 for a predetermined period, and then resumes the defrosting operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
