<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus and a method of water treatment, which can wash an adsorbate and a cake layer easily with less energy, using an aerobic microorganism adhered on activated carbon. <P>SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus having a biological activated carbon tank wherein a microorganism is propagated in an activated carbon tank includes: a time detector for detecting an elapsed time of a fixed time; a washing unit for washing the biological activated carbon tank; and a controller for performing an anaerobic treatment when a fixed elapsed time is detected by the detector, and then starting washing by the washing unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
