<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a hydroxy group-containing compound by which at least one problem of environmental load, decease in economical efficiency, industrial waste treatment, and a low yield is solved. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydroxy group-containing compound has a step to make a 6-30C halogenated hydrocarbon compound and a mixed solvent of an amphiphilic solvent and water react with each other, wherein the halogenated hydrocarbon compound is a hydrocarbon compound in which at least one halogen atom is introduced into at least one primary carbon atom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
