<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding device in which a nugget can be sufficiently grown in the contact face between workpieces when spot welding is performed to a laminated body formed by laminating a plurality of the workpieces. <P>SOLUTION: A welding gun 14 constituting the spot welding device comprises, for instance, a lower tip 20 and an upper tip 22, as welding tips, and auxiliary electrodes 34a and 34b provided to a displacement shaft displacing the upper tip 22 via a bracket. The auxiliary electrodes 34a and 34b are displaced in a direction approaching or separated from the lower tip 20 by the action of an actuator. The auxiliary electrodes 34a and 34b come into contact with a metal plate 46a arranged on the outermost part of the laminated body 40a when the lower tip 20 and the upper tip 22 hold the laminated body 40a therebetween. A branched electric current i2 flows from the upper tip 22 to the auxiliary electrodes 34a and 34b when an electric current i1 flows from the upper tip 22 to the lower tip 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
