The invention relates to a system for researching audiences, and to means, enabling television consumption to be recorded using mobile devices of the panelists to remotely control the TV content receiving devices thereof, and enabling the real-time management of the transmission of surveys to said mobile devices and reception of responses from same. The system implements a technological platform consisting of a management and control centre (back office), a data base, a mobile communication device for each panelist, that connects to the back office by means of a 3G or wifi connection, an IR emitter that links the control signals sent from the mobile device to the television appliance, a survey portal on the Internet, and a communication server.
