PURPOSE: Solvent or a solvent composition is provided to have excellent balance of resin additives-solubility and moisture-absorbing ability, thereby obtaining a binder resin-solubility enough for forming device patterns by a printing method. CONSTITUTION: Solvent or a solvent composition, which is used at forming device patterns composing a plasma display or electronic paper, an organic thin film transistor, or a solar cell by a printing method, comprises a compound of which one end is methyl group, and the other end is a C3-5 linear or branched alkyl group of two terminated alkyl groups of dipropylene glycol dialkyl ether. A paste composition for forming pattern of an organic EL device, a plasma display or electronic paper, an organic thin film transistor, or a solar cell comprises the solvent or the solvent composition, and a binder resin. The binder resin is cellulose based resin and/or acrylic resin. |
