<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali-silica reaction determination device that allows relatively easily manageable agents to be used and has relatively high safety and practicality. <P>SOLUTION: An alkali-silica reaction determination method includes: a step for applying a diluted solution of uranyl acetate having a uranium concentration of about 0.0005% to about 0.00075% on a cross section of a concrete sample; a reaction step for reacting the sample and the solution for about 5 minutes to about 30 minutes after the application of the diluted solution of uranyl acetate; and an evaluation step for exposing the sample to ultraviolet light after the reaction time has passed to determine the presence or absence of the light emission from the sample, and determining, if there is light emission, that alkali-silica gel is present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
