Hose membrane process pump has controlling element that switches OFF head pump and switches ON reserve pump head

A housing (1) has displacement chamber with tubular diaphragm (2). A pump head is arranged in opposite to conveying direction acting non-return valves (3,4) and shut-off valves (5). An annular space (6) filled with liquid is formed between tubular diaphragm and wall of the housing and is contacted with a pressure chamber (7) via secondary hydraulic chamber (8). An actuator alternately sucks liquid from annular space into pressure chamber and pressurizes liquid from pressure chamber into annular space. A controlling element switches OFF the head pump and switches ON a reserve pump head.
