<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a reduction in print quality while suppressing wear of an image forming unit.SOLUTION: When single color printing in white is performed in an image forming unit 2W, any of image forming units 2K, 2C, 2M, and 2Y arranged on the downstream side of the image forming unit 2W are brought into contact with an intermediate transfer belt 3, so as to recover, with any of photoreceptor drums 11K, 11C, 11M, and 11Y brought into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 3, a fogging toner attached to the intermediate transfer belt 3 when a toner image is primary-transferred in the image forming unit 2W.</p> |
