PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic silencing system capable of eliminating noise generated by electronic equipment, such as a liquid crystal projector. SOLUTION: The electronic silencing system is mounted on the electronic equipment, outputting an acoustic signal and acts to eliminate noise generated from the electronic equipment and comprises a microphone which is disposed on the outer surface section of a casing of the electronic equipment and detects noise propagating to the outside of the casing; a noise-eliminating signal generating section for generating the noise-eliminating signal for eliminating the noise generated from the electronic equipment based on the noise detected by the microphone; a carrier wave signal source for generating a carrier wave signal of an ultrasonic wave frequency band; and a carrier wave modulation section for modulating the carrier wave signal by the noise-eliminating signal, and an ultrasonic wave transducer which is driven by the modulation signal from the carrier wave modulating section and outputs an acoustic signal for eliminating the noise.
