<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce water containing a sterilization component for sterilizing and deodorizing indoor space. <P>SOLUTION: A sterilizing device (10) includes a storage tank (61) for storing water, a discharge unit (62), and a spray nozzle (50). The discharge unit (62) includes a pair of electrodes (64 and 65) for bringing about a streamer discharge in the water in the storage tank (61), and a direct-current power supply (70) for applying a direct-current voltage to the pair of electrodes (64 and 65). Hydrogen peroxide is produced in the water in the storage tank (61) by the streamer discharge.
